Seems like it never ends
OK now there are three layers to my quilt, the quilt part, the basting (middle part) and the backing (the bottom part). I have to rotary cut to make them all even, to be able to put on the binding (the outside part). This takes a rotary cutter, a plastic cutting ruler and a mat so you don't cut into the floor. I have to take them all upstairs in the bonus room and lay them out to cut. After that I just use embroidery thread and tie knots in the middle of the blocks to keep the quilt together. This is the poor man's way to keep the pieces together, to have it quilted by a machine is expensive. I also have the help of my one of my cats, they just love when I put something they shouldn't get on, in the floor. Until next time,
Trish

I would love to make a quilt on my own someday. Is this one of the last steps in the process or do you still have a good amount of work left?
